Purification Pre-painted Steel Coil

● Purification pre-painted steel coils are designed for environments with stringent hygiene requirements, such as cleanrooms, hospitals, and food/pharmaceutical workshops. Their core function is to provide a dense, smooth, low-particulate, corrosion-resistant, and easy-to-clean/disinfect surface.                                           

● Purification color-coated coils are high-performance pre-painted steel products specifically developed for cleanroom engineering. Using galvanized or aluminum-zinc alloy-coated steel as substrates, they undergo precision coating processes and specialized surface treatments to form composite materials that integrate structural strength with contamination control functions. The products strictly comply with the core requirements of dust prevention, antibacterial properties, and corrosion resistance for controlled environments. The dense, smooth coating surface minimizes particulate accumulation and supports routine cleaning and disinfection, meeting application standards for partitions, ceilings, and ventilation ducts in cleanrooms for electronics manufacturing, pharmaceutical plants, food processing facilities, and biological laboratories. With standard coating thickness of 20-30μm, salt spray resistance exceeding 500 hours, and color stability ΔE≤1.5, the products maintain aesthetic quality even under strong UV exposure.

Substrate Parameters

Substrate Type
Galvanized Steel (GI): Cost-effective, widely used.
Galvalume Steel (GL): Better corrosion resistance, recommended.
Al-Mg-Mn Alloy Sheet: Premium choice, excellent corrosion resistance, non-magnetic, lightweight.

Substrate Thickness
Conventional Range: 0.5mm ~ 1.2mm
Common Specifications: 0.5mm, 0.6mm, 0.8mm (Balancing strength and installation convenience)

Coating Weight (Coating Mass)
To ensure flatness and corrosion resistance, higher coating weights are typically used.
GI: Z120 (120/120), Z150 (150/150)
GL: AZ120 (120/120), AZ150 (150/150)

Coating Parameters

This is the core of the purification panel, determining its functionality and durability.

Coating System
Primer: Epoxy or polyester-based, provides excellent adhesion.
Topcoat: Polyester (PE), Polyurethane (PU), or PVDF, requiring high density and smoothness.

Coating Thickness
Unit: µm, per side.
Conventional Requirement: ≥ 20µm
High Standard Requirement: ≥ 25µm - Thicker coating means a denser barrier and longer service life.

Surface Characteristics - Core Parameters
Smoothness: High smoothness (mirror or near-mirror finish) is fundamental to reducing particle adhesion and microbial hiding.
Anti-Fingerprint (AF): Standard. Prevents fingerprint marks during installation/cleaning, and provides easy maintenance.
Anti-Corrosion Coating: Uses environmentally friendly processes like chromium-free passivation.
Antimicrobial Property (Optional): The topcoat can inhibit the growth of bacteria and mold on the surface.

Color & Gloss
Color: Primarily white (easy to spot stains, bright environment), also light grey, light blue.
Gloss:
Medium-High Gloss: 60° - 85° - Recommended. Smoother surface, less dust accumulation, and very easy to clean.
Low Gloss: 10° - 30° - Less used as the microstructure can trap dirt.

Performance & Durability Parameters

Chemical Resistance - Critical
Disinfectant Resistance: Must withstand repeated wiping with common disinfectants without gloss loss, discoloration, softening, or cracking.
Cleaner Resistance: Resists corrosion from neutral/alkaline cleaners.
Solvent Resistance: e.g., Resists Methyl Ethyl Ketone (MEK) rubbing ≥ 50 times without abnormality.

Physical & Mechanical Properties
Pencil Hardness: ≥ H or 2H - High hardness to resist scratches and prevent bacterial harborage.
Adhesion: Cross-Cut Test Class 0 - Ensures coating does not peel during cleaning or temperature cycles.
Impact Resistance: Good, ensures resistance to damage during installation and use.

Fire Performance
Both substrate and coating must be non-combustible materials.
The entire panel must meet the required fire rating (e.g., Chinese Class A).

Chromium-Free Passivation: Compliant with RoHS, REACH, etc.
