Anti-static Coils

● Antistatic coated coils incorporate conductive substances (e.g., conductive mica) into the coating to provide a path for static charge dissipation, preventing charge accumulation. They are mainly categorized into Conductive Type (lower resistance for anti-explosion) and Antistatic Type (higher resistance for dust prevention and anti-shock).  The Anti-Static Color Coated Sheet is a functional panel specifically designed to prevent static electricity accumulation. Its surface features a special conductive coating or structure that forms a conductive network to rapidly dissipate surface static charges. This effectively prevents sparks from electrostatic discharge and reduces dust attraction. Clean, durable, and widely used in environments sensitive to static electricity, such as electronic component workshops, medical facilities, precision instrument areas, computer rooms, and chemical storage zones. It ensures production safety and product quality, serving as a crucial material in modern industrial clean sectors.

Substrate Parameters

Substrate selection is similar to conventional coated coils, but the corrosiveness of the end-use environment must be considered.

Substrate Type
Galvanized Steel (GI)
Galvalume Steel (GL/55%Al-Zn) - Better corrosion resistance.

Substrate Thickness
Conventional Range: 0.4mm ~ 1.2mm

Coating Weight (Coating Mass)
Selected based on corrosion resistance requirements.
e.g., GI: 90/90, 120/120; GL: 100/100, 150/150

Coating Parameters

This is the core of the antistatic-coated coil.

Coating System
Primer + Antistatic Topcoat - Most common structure.
Antistatic Primer + Antistatic Topcoat - Provides more durable and stable antistatic performance.

Coating Thickness
Unit: μm, per side.
Conventional Requirement: ≥ 20μm - Sufficient thickness is needed to protect conductive particles.

Surface Resistivity - Core Parameter
Unit: Ohm (Ω) or Ohm/Square (Ω/□)
Conductive Type: 10^4 Ω ~ 10^6 Ω - Rapidly dissipates charge, used in explosion-proof areas.
Antistatic Type: 10^6 Ω ~ 10^9 Ω - Slowly dissipates charge, used in electronics workshops, server rooms, etc.
Insulative Type: > 10^12 Ω (Regular coated coils fall into this category)

Coating Appearance
Color: Usually light colors, e.g., light grey, light blue, white. Dark pigments (e.g., carbon black) may interfere with antistatic properties.
Gloss: Typically Matte or Low Gloss (10° - 40°), as the surface microstructure aids antistatic performance.

Performance & Durability Parameters

Antistatic Performance Durability
Abrasion Resistance Test: After abrasion with a specific wheel, the change in surface resistivity should be within a specified range.
Resistance to Solvent/Cleaner Wiping: Performance should not degrade significantly after wiping with alcohol or other cleaners.

Weathering Resistance
Depends on the topcoat resin system (e.g., HDP, PVDF), but the addition of antistatic agents may slightly affect long-term weatherability.
QUV Accelerated Weathering Test: Typically ≥ 400 hours (based on polyester system) with stable appearance and antistatic performance.

Physical & Mechanical Properties
Pencil Hardness: ≥ HB
T-Bend: 3T - 5T (Antistatic coating may slightly affect flexibility)
Adhesion: Cross-Cut Test Class 0 or 1
