Aoguan Teaches You How to Test the Service Life of Color-Coated Sheets

Update:09 Jan 2026
Everyone is very concerned about the service life of color-coated sheets. So, what methods can we use to test their service life when purchasing them? Let's find out together:

Generally speaking, the service life of color-coated sheets is analyzed based on the coating structure characteristics and mechanisms of the sheets. Specifically, it refers to the unified reflection of the effective service limits of two properties—corrosion resistance and weather resistance of the organic coating film—under actual application conditions. Since there is no uniform standard for measuring the service limit, the concept of service life cannot be consistent either.

In addition to the above knowledge, the service life of color-coated sheets is standardized to be comprehensively evaluated through two results: long-term outdoor exposure tests of hanging samples under various typical atmospheric environments and corrosive medium conditions, combined with laboratory accelerated weathering tests that simulate service environments. We hope these introductions will be helpful for your understanding.

Aoguan Group specializes in the production and sale of galvanized coils and color-coated coils. It is an integrated industry and trade enterprise with factory-direct sales.
